Water for the Great Darling Anabranch a step closer
An environmental flow for the Great Darling Anabranch is just a signing away, according to organisation the Murray Darling Wetlands.
The group, supported by local group the Darling River Action group, had earlier called for this to happen, due to the amount of water available in the system and in the Menindee Lakes.
The Great Darling Anabranch connects Lake Cawndilla with the Murray River, it's the ancestral path of the Darling.
Howard Jones, from Murray Darling Wetlands, says there's a simple answer to how many environmental flows it's seen recently.
